WW2 GERMAN LUFTWAFFE M35 HELMET- NO DECALS
This WW2 German Luftwaffe helmet is an early M35 defined by its air holes being riveted unlike the later models that had the air holes stamped in the shell. It originally was a double decal and you can see traces of where they once were and they were more than likely period removed when the new rules on decal application to helmets came into force in 1943. Showing signs of field use to the paint and liner. This helmet comes with a camouflage retaining strap. No chinstrap.
M35 helmets are much harder to find than the later models (M40 and M42) and are very collectable. This example is in good original condition and displays well.
