WW1/WW2 GERMAN LONG RANGE BINOCULARS BY SCHUTZ CASSEL 24 X 50

I have spent a couple of hours researching these binoculars and this is what I have found. This type of binocular was actually produced in 1911 by Carl Zeiss Jena with variations being produced well into the 1930's. This example was produced by the maker Schutz Cassel and was obviously made for long range sighting and was issued to the German Armed forces during WW1 in limited supplies. A couple of other dealers said they were used during WW2 and call them Flak binoculars but I am unsure if they were issued for that purpose however due to their optics (24 x 50) and range I could see their value for Flak purposes and also in the Army and Kriegsmarine, either way its a good story. They are exceptionally long (340mm) and thier optics are clear and powerful. Maker marked to the top and retaining their neck strap. A very rare pair of binoculars that make a great display item.
