WW2 GERMAN LUFTWAFFE AIRCRAFT COCKPIT CLOCK BY KIENZLE
Luftwaffe aircraft clock by Kienzle. The Kienzle FL23886-1, clock, was used in numerous WW2 German fighter aircraft, including the legendary ME109, and was in use by 1939.
This example has a moving bezel ring with graduations in 5s from 0-60. Also a seconds dial at the bottom. The case is complete with no cracks. There are serial numbers at the back of the clock as shown in the images. The movement is exposed from the case using a hinge. The clock has been mounted in a wooden case and was more than likely used as a desk top souvenier.
Please note the clock is not working it seems to have been over wound hence the price. If I take this to a watchmaker he would more than likely charge anywhere from $100-200 and it would have a value of around $1600 as they are a desirable collectors items for Luftwaffe collectors.
