Queens South Africa Medal with 3 bars: JOHANNESBURG, ORANGE FREE STATE and CAPE COLONY
Kings South Africa Medal with 2 bars: SOUTH AFRICA 1901 and SOUTH AFRICA 1902

All medals were warded to and are properly name stamped to the edge to Pte William Jackson East Lancashire Regiment. The medals come with research that shows That Pte William Jackson enlisted in the East Lancs Regt on 02 July 1891 at Burnley Lancs. Served in Gibraltar from 1893-1895 then the Regt returned to England.in 1900 the Regt sailed to South Africa for the duration of the war. The Regt returned to England in 1902 where it stayed on home service until 1904 where it stayed for seven years. Jackson returned home in 1911 and was discharged in 1911 serving a total of 21years with the East Lancs Regt. There is no trace of him after discharge however he gad three brothers in Australia and he may have joined them.
