17 CENTURY JAPANESE SAMURAI SWORD BY SHINTO YASUKUNI
Another Samurai sword form a recent collection I purchased. I have had the signature on the Tang de-ciphered.
The Tang reads
MUSASHI - Province
TARO - Personel Name
YASUKUNI - Sword Smiths Name
The other side of the Tang has a short Sword Smiths Inscription.
Excellent Hamon of Notore (undulating) with Peaks.
Sword has a quality Siver Habaki. Grain is slightly visible in spots but hardly noticeable. Sword is in good polish. Sword is quality mounted in Shirasaya (wooden Protective scabbard). Blade length is 565 mm.
This sword is excellent value for a 17 Century signed Samurai sword and is an excellent investment for the future
