AUSTRALIAN FIGHTING KNIFE BY SHELHAM
HISTORY
Shelham is a brand name that the Australian knife makers Sheldon and Hammond (a large import company used for knives that it had made overseas) for the Australian market. Most seem to have been made in Japan. Some of their models were sold under the Excalibur name. However, other members might know more about them.
Shelham supplied the popular Military clasp knife to the Australian Army which was a copy of the UK made knife to the ADF for many years.
Item description
This knife is a bit of a mystery and I have had different opinions on its origins. Imported from Japan under contract and retailed by Shelham. The person that sold this to me said it could have been a trial knife for the Army but I am not convinced. Anyhow its a good knife with a saw back blade. Comes in a M8A1 scabbard.
