AUSTRALIAN ISSUED PATTERN 1897 INFANTRY OFFICERS SWORD
This is the best condition 1897 pattern Infantry Officers sword I have ever handled. Etched maker marked C. ANDERSON SYDNEY on the tang of the blade. The blade has crisp clear etching displaying the King George Crown for the WW1 period. The blade display a couple of minor spots that could easily be removed with a polish as shown in the pictures. The metal polished scabbard has no dents and like the rest of the sword looks in excellent condition. No marks to the guard at all and the ray skin handle is in excellent condition and retains all of its wire wrap. The original buffer pad is still there.
