PATTERN 1875 SAWBACK BAYONET FOR THE MARTINI HENRY RIFLE
This is the second type with a longer blade. Approved 28 May 1875. This example was modified in September 1881 with a new new hilt and crossguard for the Snider Carbine rifle.
Usual wear and spotting on the blade commensurate with a bayonet of this age. Some shrinkage to the handles also commensurate with age. All the usuual stamps and markings to the blade. No scabbard as nearly all of them deteriorated with age due to being made of leather.
