SCARCE IMPERIAL GERMAN M1871 SAWBACK BAYONET
M1871 Seitengewehr NCO bayonet with brass grips, Sabre blade, fullered, sawback with 27 double teeth, polished bright, left side of ricasso marked with the maker "l. WILHELM, SUHL" Royal cypher the back of blade "CROWN over W over 74" Regiment marked as is scabbard but not matching. Leather scabbard with brass mounts and long frog stud. Only 6% of all M1871 bayonets were made with sawback blades. Bayonet and scabbard in excellent condition.
