WW1 BRITISH HELMET.
Classical WW1 British or 'Tommy' helmet. This helmet is complete with the liner and chinstrap which is normally broken but good on this example. The way to tell the difference between an American issue helmet and an original British helmet (which both look the same on the outside) is to check the chinstrap bales on the inside rim. The American helmet attaches the bales with a domed rivet and the British used split pins, this helmet has the correct split pins.
There is an unidentified unit insignia painted to the front. Original rough texture finish to the front. All in all a good example of an iconic helmet.
