WW1 GALLIPOLI MEDALLION TO A PRIVATE IN 23 BN
Boxed Gallipoli Medallion issued to 386 Pte George Sydney Kemp who served in 23rd Bn. He served at Gallipoli and the unit was then sent to France. It seems that he suffered shell shock and injured his back in July 1917, then was further wounded in August 1916. Pte Kemp must have suffered terribly. The medallion comes with a copy of his service record and its original presentation box.
