The WW1 German Tank Badge is one of the rarest First World War German badges. The Tank warfare was still in its infancy and the numbers of tanks and tank units was very small. The German Tank Badge was not issued until after the First World War had finished and good original examples are hard to find. There are many copies out there but they are generally easy to spot if you follow the basic guidelines for this badge.
This example is Maker Marked to C.E. JUNKER and bears the Silver mark 935. The front shows great detail with the eyes of the skull painted in red. The rear of the badge has been personally engraved by its original owner (see images), I have not interpreted the engraving and will leave this up to the purchaser to research.
This is a rare opportunity to own an original WW1 German Tank Badge that is maker marked
