WW1 IMPERIAL GERMAN KS98 SAWBACK DRESS BAYONET FIELD USE VERSION.
Traditionally the Sawback KS98 Dress bayonet was worn during parades and when the soldiers were wearing walking out uniforms. The fittings were Nickel Silver plated and never saw field use. There was a lesser known version issued for field use that saw, instead of the Nickel Silver fittings Blued fittings used for field wear and use and these are much rarer.
This example is the field use example with blued fittings and is showing signs of field use as shown in the images. No makers marks which is common.
