WW1 GERMAN TRENCH ARMOUR HELMET BROW PLATE
The German helmet brow plate was designed to fit over the standard WW1 German soldiers helmet and was attached via the lugs on the side of the helmet, it was supposed to protect the wearer form a head shot. It was mainly issued to sentries and snipers and was designed to be worn with the issued trench armour. It was made from cast steel and was heavy to wear.
This Brow Plate or 'Stirnpanzer' is showing signs of combat use. It is numbered as shown in the images supplied. It does not have its atachment belt.
Strirnpanzers are rare to find.
