WW2 AUSTRALIAN ISSUED 303 BAYONET ORANGE ARSENAL
This bayonet was a local shed find here in WA and shows signs of combat use. Blade is stamped with the Broad Arrow X OA for Orange Arsenal on one side and date stamped 5 43 (May 1943) on the other side. number 54442 stamped to the pommel. Blade has been field sharpened reinforcing its field use. Scabbard is in good condition with all the stitching tight. The scabbard frog is still present and is maker stamped to the rear GOLDSEAL 1942 SYDNEY and D^D (these are getting hard to find). Some field damage to the wooden grips commensurate with its use.
Whilst this bayonet is not in mint unused condition it does show honest field use and that is how I like them.
