This WW2 Australian Owen Gun bayonet is an experimental version with a knuckle guard designed for use as a fighting knife as well as a bayonet. With only a few of these made it makes it a must for Australian edged weapon collectors. Made and marked OA for Orange Arsenal and dated 1945. In excellent condition as non of these bayonet/fighting knifes were issued. These fighting knife/bayonets are featured in the newly released book 'Australian and New Zealand Cutlers and Cutlery' by KM Spencer and J. renton-Spencer. This is a one off chance to own one of these.
