WW2 AUSTRALIAN THEATRE MADE TRENCH KNIFE 'TOBRUK'
A very unusual Australian theatre made trench knife.Handle has a knuckle guard made from composite material has the word TOBRUK scratched into one side and the service number of the original owner (TX1950) to the other followed by the letters EH. Initial research shows that the service number of TX1950 belonged to Private Eric Harris who enlisted into the 2/12 Battalion on the 03 Jun 1940. The blade is made of steel and the original scabbard was made of a web material.
This Trench knife tells a great story.
