I came across this camera along with some other German WW2 items I purchased recently. Researching revealed that this is a VOIGHTLANDER BESSA camera and was first sold in 1937 and produced during the second world war in Germany, it (amongst other cameras sold at the time) was popular amongst German troops. This camera was sold with the PRONTOR II lens which was better quality than the standard lens sold in the base model. It has a retailers tag to FOTO LANGE in Braunschweig (Brunswick) on the back. In very good condition this item would go nice in a display of a German soldiers personal items.
