WW2 ERA NAVAL SEXTANT LONDON MAKER H. HUGHES AND SONS.
This is an original Sextant by the London maker H.Hughes and Sons not an Indian copy which are cheaply made and of poor quality. It comes in its original mahogany box and I have purposely made no attempt to clean the sextant or box or to polish its brass fittings, I will leave this up to the new owner.
All fittings and accessories are complete. This was issued by the New Zealand Shipping Company around 1930 to G.R. Edmonds who was the Third Officer aboard the M.V. Nottingham. I purchased this from the family recently. Nice item for the nautical collector at a reasonable price.
