WW2 GERMAN M35 HELMET NO DECALS
This is the early M35 German Army helmet with the riveted vent holes. It normally would have been issued as a single or double decal helmet but this one is one of the period factory refurbishments where helmets were refurbished and sent back to units for issue they were re-painted and any issues like broken rivets worn liners etc were replaced. This example has the maker and size stamped to the skirt of ET66. The liner is the correct size 59. the chinstrap is maker marked and dated 1940.
In 1943 it was ordered that no helmet is to be issued with any decals until the war ends and due to this helmet having no decals it is more than likely it was factory refurbished at this time.
The helmet is in excellent condition for its age and shows minimal use, it presnts well.
