WW2 GERMAN MESSERSCHMITT BF 109E-1 CRASHED AIRPLANE RELIC CRANK CASE BEARING
This relic came from a BF 109E-1 that was engaged in a dog fight on October 25 1940 during the Battle of Britain and crashed at LidhamHill Farm, GuestlingSussex UK at 3.30pm.
The BF109E-1was piloted by FeldwebelWilli Koslowski from 7/JG 51 who baled out and was badly burned. Reference the book Battle of Britain pages 696/7.
