WW2 JAPANESE TYPE 100 PARATROOPERS BAYONET AND SCABBARD
Nice original type 100 Japanese paratroopers knife. This bayonet is showing signs of field use which is how I like them. This bayonet was a local pick up here in Western Australia.
The blade is nice and bright and is in very good condition. Scabbard is also in good condition. The wood handle grips have a couple of dings commensurate with its field use. The back strap of the handle is stamped with the TALW arsenal marks who were the only makers of this bayonet. The top of the pommel has an issue stamp and the number 4937.
Type 100 Paratroopers bayonets are the rarest of WW2 Japanese bayonets and this is only the second one I have seen in 35 years of collecting and dealing.
