INDIAN GURKHA REGIMENT OFFICERS KUKRI
This Indian Army Gurkha Regiment Kukri displays the Indian Gurkha Regiment badge to the front of the leather impressed scabbard. The silvered fittings are very decorative as is the handle which bears a Lion's head to the top of the pommel. the Kukri is of an officers quality piece as the ordinary soldiers Kukri is very plain. The blade is decorated to one side and the edge has been sharpened. The two small skinning knives are both present. The original belt frog is also present.
This as all Indian Army Kukri,s date from after 1947 when the Indian Gurkha regiment was formed.
A nice decorative piece
