    PAIR OF PATTERN 1827 BRITISH RIFLE OFFICERS SWORDS NAMED TO THE SAME OFFICER. CHEADLE RIFLE VOLUNTEERS

    Offered here is a pair of 1827 pattern British Rifle Officers sword both named to the same officer on the scabbards who was CAPTAIN GEORGE PEEL CRV (Cheadle Rifle Volunteers) who was the Captain of the Cheadle Rifle Volunteers from 1860 to 1865.

    One of the swords is a silver plated levee weight sword and the other a standard weight fighting sword. Both swords are maker marked both have engraved blades and for their age are in very good condition with the normal wear and tear that is to be expected.

    It is highly unusual to find a pair of 1827 pattern officers swords that are named to the same officer and are still together nearly 165 years later and is such good condition.

    I will not sell the swords separately.
