WW2 JAPANESE CONVERSION PARATROOPERS BAYONET/KNIFE
This Japanese paratroopers bayonet has been converted from a Type 30 Bayonet as a last ditch effort to supply the paratroopers with bayonets during the last stages of WW2and is rare within its own rights. This type 30 bayonet is typical of the ones during the later part of WWII. As the war progressed, and the tide turned against the Japanese, the production of both rifles and bayonets were simplified for speed of production. This bayonet has the square type pommel, the blade is unfullered and has been shortened, the handle is held in place with 2 rivets, and was issued in a specially made scabbard with the paratroops emblem stamped into it.
This is a rare piece and an excellent example of a last ditch Japanese paratroopers bayonet. Dont miss it.
